Introduction
I am a computer scientist offering independent research and engineering services with a focus on distributed and systems software.
My background combines academic research with practical engineering and problem-solving. My doctoral research focuses on WebAssembly-based execution migration and scheduling of stateful workloads across heterogeneous edge and cloud environments.
I particularly enjoy technically challenging projects that involve unfamiliar problems, cross boundaries between different technical fields, and require exploring new approaches to develop practical solutions.
Areas of Expertise
Distributed Systems & Communication
I like working with distributed architectures, communication mechanisms, and execution environments across heterogeneous systems.
My research covers portable execution environments based on WebAssembly, stateful workloads, distributed scheduling, and performance-aware decision-making. I am also interested in communication middleware and service-oriented architectures, including technologies such as SOME/IP, ROS 2, and Zenoh.
Systems Software & Hardware-Software Co-Design
I am interested in the interaction between software and the underlying system architecture, from compiler and runtime behavior to hardware-specific performance characteristics.
Relevant topics include compiler and toolchain analysis, stack and register usage, memory management, embedded syste.s, and hardware-aware performance optimization.
Research, Prototyping & Evaluation
Most of the problems I enjoy solving don’t have an obvious solution. I start by understanding the contraints and the environment. This then allows me to investigate possible solution and build prototypes to see what actually works.
The result depends on the problem: A working implementation, a performance evaluation, or even evidence that a given approach is not suitable. What matters to me, is that there is a practical answer.
Reproducibility, automated testing, and transparent evaluation are important parts of this process.
